Key requirements

  • a change rating will be assigned to schools comparing their previous year score to the current year score as either Progressing, Maintaining, or Declining

  • schools identified as Developmental Day Centers and schools providing special education and related services in public separate settings to students with disabilities shall participate by administering the appropriate assessment based on the student's Individualized Education Program and participating in either Option B or Option C
  • schools that meet the criteria in Section (d) shall be reviewed and approved by the Exceptional Children's Division and the Accountability Services Division of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction before implementing modifications
  • accountability indicators and results for students who attend programs or classes in a facility that does not have an LEA school code shall be reported to and included in the students' base school's accountability results
