This regulation requires all Educator Preparation Programs that train elementary and exceptional children general curriculum teachers to include specific mathematics coursework beyond the minimums set in G.S. 115C-269.20. Required coursework must cover mathematics content and pedagogy, evidence-based learning trajectories, instructional supports and resources, and designing learning experiences aligned to specific goals. The rule took effect October 1, 2020.
