NC Education Code · NC Policy Manual

NC 1505-2.6 Records on More Than One Child

Plain English summary

When an education record contains information about more than one child, each child's parents are only entitled to inspect and review the portion of the record that pertains to their own child, or to be informed of that specific information. This rule limits parental access to protect the privacy of other students whose information may appear in the same record. The regulation establishes a clear boundary on the scope of parental records inspection rights.
