Federal IDEA · 34 CFR Part 300 · Regulation
§ 300.814 Other State-level activities.
Plain English summary
This section requires each State to use reserved preschool funds (under § 300.812) that are not spent on administration (under § 300.813) for one or more of six specified purposes, including support services, direct services for section 619-eligible children, state and local performance activities, a capped contribution to coordinated services systems, early intervention services with an educational component, and optional service coordination for Part C families. The allowable uses are prescriptive but provide States with flexibility across the enumerated categories. One funding use—the statewide coordinated services system—is capped at no more than one percent of the State's section 619 allocation for a fiscal year.
